Charles A. Reynard-Marian Reynard Baun papers, 1927-1997 (bulk 1956-1993).

Reynard's papers focus primarily on his opposition to the set of bills proposed in the 1958 Louisiana Legislature that would privatize public schools to avoid integration. Materials in this collection include correspondence, newspaper clippings, a political cartoon, publications and a questionnaire. There is also correspondence and a donations list relating to the resignation of Hollis Hayard, General Secretary of the LSU YMCA. A scrapbook (photocopy) documents Reynard's personal and professional life. Baun's papers document her involvement with the LSU chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the Committee on Women and the Committee on Campus Life during changes to women's housing and also with the Friends of Public Education Board. Materials in this collection include brochures, correspondence, minutes, newspaper clippings and reports.

Marian Reynard Baun was born in Springfield, Ohio, in 1915 and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and Ohio State University. She married Charles A. Reynard (1913-1959) in 1936.
